Although intended as a runners pack, this size & fit is great for my 9 year old Son, who is the size of a skinny 6 year old! The narrow profile & ability of the straps (due to the loop connection at the top) to close in over the shoulders means it’s comfy for him to carry his own kit (cruel Dad!) with no chance of slipping off or straps twisting. Most other Kids rucksacks just aren’t up to proper walking, and few others (e.g. even Women’s) are an appropriate size.....might need to get a bigger one as soon as he's big enough though!
