A high-performance waterproof and windproof jacket with incredibly low weight.
A modern staple, and now with refreshed styling, the Berghaus Paclite Jacket
gives you everything you need from a waterproof jacket and more, but at the lowest possible weight.
Made using double-ripstop GORE-TEX Paclite fabric, it's tough but incredibly lightweight and extremely breathable, and can be packed down to a tiny size for easy stashing and carrying.
Totally windproof and waterproof, GORE-TEX Paclite uses a specific membrane with a protective layer on the inside, made of an oil-hating component and carbon - therefore it needs no lining, making it a lot lighter and more breathable.
An extra DWR (durable water repellent) treatment to the outer face of the fabric means that raindrops bead up and shake off the jacket as you move. A storm flap over the front zip makes sure no rain can even get close.
Articulation in the sleeve design lets you extend our arms without fear of teh sleeve riding up to expose you to the elements.
The Paclite Jacket comes with its own mesh stuff sack, so you can take it with you wherever you go.
- Two zipped hand pockets
- hook and loop cuffs, drawcord hem

Not Waterproof, 28 October 2015
By Tim (Sheffield)
This jacket is not waterproof. Today was the first time I've worn it in heavy rain and it failed miserably at the front - presumably along the seams. It starts with feeling the odd drip of water getting in but quickly descends in to a stream of cold water running down the inside of the coat. By the time you realise water is also coming in along the arms you're so wet you're past caring. On the plus side the back stayed really dry.
Looks Good, Waterproof ... NOT Breathable, 21 June 2015
By kaucum (Bristol)
This fits nicely and looks good. . .
Its NOT very breathable though, I bought this to wear in the rainy season of Thailand... tested it in the UK beforehand and found I built up a sweat from walking round in mildly-warm British climate. I'm not looking forward to the in-comfort I may endure in a hotter climate like Thailand's. Apart from that it fits nice and looks good, and seems waterproof
Paclite 'waterproof' jacket, 29 March 2015
By Mark (Plymouth)
I'm reviewing the second paclite jacket , as the first was sent back to berghaus because it leaked badly .
They affirmed that there was indeed an issue with the waterproofing and sent me a replacement.
The replacement is just the same and leaks through the fabric if you are out walking in anything more than a light shower .
If I was berghaus I would chsnge their description of this product from waterproof to mildly water resistant to save would be customers the time and money spent on a jacket that've not anywhere near waterproof . Boo berghaus .
BERGHAUS PACLITE JACKET, 09 June 2014
By ZEBADEE (sheffield)
Bought this jacket over 2 months ago to walk dog when it rains as it nice & light & Gore-Tex & used it today for the first time in a heavy down poor & the insides of the arms was wet & so was the inside at the top around the arms & neck so I would not recommend if u want it for a waterproof jacket.
Berghaus Paclite Jacket, 09 November 2013
By Stewart (Kidderminster)
I bought this jacket for a trip to Vietnam/Cambodia where the weather is hot and humid, and it often rains heavily. I wanted something light, but waterproof and which wouldn't make me feel sweaty. In practice, we got caught in two downpours, and the jacket proved itself to be very effective.
