Features
Berghaus' updated classic continues to set standards.
The Berghaus Mera Peak is one of the most sought after
waterproof jackets in Berghaus' range due to it's great use of
GORE-TEX technology that keeps the user dry and comfortable without any fuss or excess bulk.
The 2-layer
GORE-TEX fabric is
mesh lined and very breathable,
great for high energy activities and adventures- locking in heat and drawing away moisture.
Wear it over any Berghaus fleece, such as the Spectrum or Polarplus, for extra
warmth when the chill hits.
The Berghaus Mera Peak also
has a hood with a peak that can protect your face and eyes from the elements while being easily stowed and packed away in the hood compartment when the weather takes a turn for the better.
Four external pockets and an internal map pocket makes sure you've got enough room to store your accessories such as gloves, compass, maps and all the things you need for a day in the outdoors.
The Berghaus Mera Peak is the complete wet weather jacket that can shut out the rain and wind via a drawcord waist and hem, so whether it's rain or shine, you wont be blue!

Best coat I ever purchased, 09 August 2011
By Paulos
I've had various other well known brands of coat but this is by far the best, the hood is simply great and the whole coat gives a quality like feel. I ordered online which I would recommend to all, jacket wasn't in stock, staff couldn't be more helpful, rang me back when it was in stock. Five Stars.

Mera Peak Jacket, 06 January 2011
By damian (sheffield)
Pros: Well fitting jacket with a really nice hood, which is great for trekking in heavy showers, and fairly light weight so easy to carry in a day sack.
Cons: The cuff adjusters are a good idea in theory - they are designed to improve on velcro and not to get caught on fluff&stuff. In practice they do not maintain much cohesion at all, and are subsequently always coming undone which can be very frustrating. However, after sending the jacket back to Berghaus they swapped the cuff adjusters for standard velcro (at no extra cost) which works brilliantly. I only give three stars as I see the cuff problem as a design flaw.
Also, be aware that this jacket is not designed to have a fleece zipped inside.
