Berghaus Calisto 3-In-1 jacket is a versatile winter layering system, combining two jackets into one.
The outer jacket, made from Berghaus' AQ2.0 fabric, is
lightweight, waterproof and breathable.
The
removable AWL100 fleece, similar to the Berghaus Spectrum Micro Full Zip, is great its own on a cool summer evening, or zipped into the outer jacket for added insulation in the winter.
The IA (InterActive) system allows the fleece to be neatly zipped into the outer jacket, cutting out the unnecessary bulk that you may get with independent layering systems.
And when it gets really cold, you could substitute the fleece for a warmer IA fleece from the Berghaus range, and get more benefit from the outer shell.

I bought the turquoise version of this jacket after my husband bought the Berghaus 4 in 1. I had gone to the store to try on a North Face 3 in 1 jacket which was on offer but it was no comparison to this one. Whereas the NF jacket was stiff and bulky (even though it was a womens fit) the Calisto is really comfortable and not bulky at all. The fleece is really soft and warm and the outer jacket is flexible but tough and has a nice feel to it as well. I have used the jacket as a 3 in 1 and the fleece on its own and am very pleased with it. The jacket is well made and you can tell the quality from the ease of use of the zips and toggles etc. It is a bit pricey but if you are going to use it a lot then it is well worth spending the money on something decent. Recommended.
