Made using 2 Layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell, the Aura is completely waterproof, windproof, and extremely breathable, ensuring you stay dry on inside as well as the outside.
The Aura is also reinforced with GORE-TEX® Pro Shell® which incorporates CORDURA yarns to protect in high wear areas, while the InterActive zip means you can zip in an interactive Berghaus fleece to add further insulation on those colder winter days.

Tried and tested at -15C as a ski jacket, 06 February 2012

I bought this jacket in the December sales hoping it would suffice for a January skiing holiday (a dedicated ski jacket seemed a bit pointless for once a year). Having just come back from the French alps where it was -15 at times not including the wind chill which is quite considerable when heading downhill at a suicidal speed on 2 bits of fibreglass. It is definitely windproof and very definitely waterproof.
I had it paired with the Berghaus Activity Jacket as it's interactive fleecy partner over the Trekmates Snowpro thermals and Bare 2b Blown Fuse top. This was sufficient to keep my body plenty warm but breathable enough to stay dry inside even after having to pole along on the flat.
It also proved hardwaring and was undamaged by a handful of falls including one high speed tumble (the same cannot be said for my knee) and a wrestling match in the snow.
Very pleased and an excellent buy in the sale. Highly recommended.

the berghaus AURA is the best jacket i have ever owned. it is 100% waterproof, 100%windproof and has amazing breathbility. it has a 6 pockets and an amazing wired peak hood.
it is that breathable it does'nt get damp or wet on the inside and i dont sweat one bit. and the rain just runs off it.
i would recomend this jacket to any one.
and i would recomend a GORE-TEX because it is the best membrain you can get

Best jacket ive ever owned, not had it long but its already stood upto the worst of the british weather, snow gail force winds torrential downpours, all this plus the Gore-tex pro shell the outstanding hood and all :o absolute bargain :D shall be buying from Go Outdoors again soon.
