It keeps warm food warm, and cold food cold.
Tests on the Bento Box show a 96C temperature hot food will decrease down to 60C, and a 1.67c food will stay at 10c of coldness. Ambient foods that are neither hot or cold will stay at 23C.
As well as being insulated, the bento box is leakproof and stackable, meaning you can combine it as part of a set, or use it alone, as well as having the option of storing it with ease at home in a cupboard with minimal space.

I bought one of these for kids packed lunches. Looks great and is easy for them to eat out of, but sadly it keeps food warm rather than hot. As a result it spend most of it's time in a cupboard now. Thermos flask food containers do a much better job.
