A spacious tent for four that sets up in just a few minutes with minimal effort.

The Airgo Stratus 400 tent is a comfy, sturdy space that uses inflatable, interconnected beams for simple and rapid pitching. It's got plenty of room for four campers, with a good sized front porch for storing your boots, bags and any other essential kit.

Airgo tents' highly robust double skinned inflatable beams take the hassle out of camping - just pump them full of air and you have a rigid pole-free frame in minutes. All the beams are connected so they inflate from a single inflation point.

The inner tent is made from breathable fabric for good airflow, with side storage pockets to help you stay tidy and organised. The bedroom area uses light-blocking fabric to stay dark and cool, making for a better night's sleep (or afternoon nap!)

Strong guying points and multiple guy lines keep it stable and in one piece, even in unforgiving weather. And when it's time to take your camp home, it packs away into its own 'Easy Pack' tent bag with the minimum of effort.

  • Comes with a stirrup pump for fast inflation - inflates in under a minute!
  • Comprehensive repair kit included
  • 'Easy Pack' tent bag

Airgo Stratus 400, 12 June 2017
By Air-NO! (walsall)
We recently bought a new Airgo 400 bundle (carpet, footprint and porch). The main air- beam popped, burst or just deflated on day one.
We manhandled the pipes and valves and tried to shut this beam off from the conjoined beams. Evening one the second main beam deflated over the sleeping area. This valve took a lot of tape and brute force to properly lock off..when moving the fabric you could still hear a hisss.
I returned the tent and sadly got our money..I say sadly as we love the look of this tent and everything about it..not sure how many stars to give a tent that we were really excited about but let us down..literally! Buy a tent with separate air tubes would be the best advice.

Great all round tent., 12 June 2017
By Ben (Weymouth)
We recently bought the Stratus 400 tent bundle, tent+porch+carpet+groundsheet, and tried it all out over a weekend before taking it away for a longer trip in the summer.

Good Points:

It all comes in separate, bags or valises. The valises are good when you're trying to put the main parts of the tent away and you don't have to struggle trying to stuff an oversized ball of wet tent back into a bag that seems to have shrunk overnight.

The inflated poles are very sturdy. Once the tent was laid out on the ground and I'd worked out which one to inflate first, it went up with ease and only took a quick prod to untangle it from where it had been stored in the valise. Even during the strong winds we had the tent remained very sturdy.

It comes with plenty of guy ropes. These all helped during a particular windy night we had.

The 400, with a porch, is a good size for a family of four. If you just bought the tent, you may find you need more space. With the porch, it was good to have a separate sleeping area, a closed off admin/dressing area in the middle and the porch to sit and relax/drink or eat.

The tent was really warm. Even during a chilly British summer and the main door being left open all day. The rear sleeping quarters remained really warm.

The hand pump that comes with the tent is really good and, unless you have no arms, there's no need to buy an expensive electric one for £50 - the ones Go-Outdoors craftily place in a stack near the inflatable tent section of the shop.

Build quality is good. Most of the the internals and all of the inflatable pipes seem really sturdy and of a high quality. Time will tell how long these last.

Bad Points:

The carpet that came in the bundle is quite slippy and has a tendency to ruck up at the sides of the tent, especially if it's pitched on a slope. It would be better with some Velcro patches sewn onto the bottom of it so you could stick to the floor of the tent.

The pegs are only the basic silver wire ones. I prefer bigger sturdier ones, but that's just personnel preference. You do get lots of them though.

The zips in the sleeping compartment are quite flimsy. If you have children that love to play with these and have the touch of a bull elephant, then these wouldn't last very long.

The tent seemed to have more trip hazards then usual. Particularly bad when you have young children running in and out or have a clumsy wife - I have both. Although to be fair it is plastered with 'Trip Hazard' signs. But excited kids never bother to stop and read signs ... and the wife knows everything anyway.

Although it claims '5 minutes to put up', it took me (with minimal help from the wife) approx 2 hours to put it up from start to finish for the first time. That's ground sheet laid out, tent pumped up, sleeping compartment attached, guy ropes put out, porch attached and all personal gear and cooking equipment dumped inside. This will obviously get quicker as you know what you're doing ... and the wife does more.

Even with those minimal gripes (and they are only gripes), overall the tent is very good and performs well. It kept a family of four warm and dry during a particularly wet and windy weekend with no problems at all. Don't let the bad points I've mentioned put you off, all of them can be easily remedied ... the wife however ...

Love It!, 06 June 2017
By Wadi37 (Cheshire)
Just done 10 nights in Cornwall in this tent and it was brilliant. Easy up, easy down - plenty of space for just the 2 of us without the porch - great value and no more poles to mess with :-)

Great tent, 01 June 2017
By Piglet (Edinburgh)
Very happy with my purchase. As other reviews very easy to inflat, deflate and store away. We also bought the Porch, it is a great add space for stove etc and leaves tent area for sitting in at night. Would recommend both tent and Porch. Tony at Granton Edinburgh and Jordan at Head Office couldn't have been more helpful. We have bought lots from Go-Outdoors and will do so in the future.

Easy Errect Tent, 30 May 2017
By Christopher (Bristol)
This tent is AWESOME, never has it been so simple to erect such a large tent, place 4 pegs in the ground, one on each corner and pump up the middle station, then watch it leap up from the ground and become a tent in about 2 - 3 minutes. It is a solid robust design which does not flinch in high wind if you have pegged out the base correctly, you don't even need to use the guide ropes. The quality is Excellent also... A top purchase.... taking it down is just as simple and packing away even easier than ever.
